U.K. weirdos Fujiya & Miyagi (yes, as in The Karate Kid) are coming to you (assuming “you” live in or around Washington, D.C.) live next Thursday Feb. 19 at the 9:30 club. They like making songs about Dishwashers, Pterodactyls, Sore Thumbs and Kinickerbockers, so you can expect some strange stuff to go down.
The band is hot off their 2008 release, Lightbulbs, which introduced many Americans to “knickerbocker glory” among other things. They will be playing with the equally amazing School of Seven Bells, who released a great full-length, Alpinisms, last year so don’t miss it. You can buy tickets at the 9:30 website.
