New British Sea Power: “Come Wander With Me” [MP3]

british sea power

British Sea Power revealed the first look at their new album today with “Come Wander With Me.” Oh, btw, by “album” I actually mean a soundtrack to a 1934 documentary about an Irish fishing community called Man of Aran. Sure, ok. The song is actually really cool and creepy, yet uplifting? Yet kind of really sad at the same time?? No matter, I’m excited to give the whole album a listen. And maybe I’ll watch that movie too. At the same time!! Dark side of the Irish fishing community anyone?? The CD/DVD package will be out on Rough Trade

Also, here’s a look at another of their new songs synched up with the movie. Cool!

  1. Epic! Yeah, this track really doesn’t make you want to go wander w/ anyone. It’s a stretch from Waving Flags or Atom from their first EP.

  2. I agree about “come wander with me,” Alex, for sure.

but the track in the music video is all kinds of wonderful

  3. My Girlfriend’s father was a Navy man and has always told us to, “Respect the OCEAN!” And that video really makes me re-think his geezer blatherings.
